2025 Hatteras Island Oyster Roast

The North Carolina Coastal Federation (NCCF) is bringing back its much-anticipated Hatteras Island Oyster Roast on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Oden’s Dock in Hatteras Village. This annual event is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, celebrating the region’s rich seafood traditions while supporting coastal conservation efforts.

Attendees will be treated to an afternoon filled with delicious, freshly steamed oysters, a serving of homemade clam chowder, cornbread, and other refreshments. In addition to the savory seafood offerings, a bake sale will feature a variety of homemade desserts. To complement the food, the event will feature live music and a silent auction, where guests can bid on unique regional items and experiences.

Tickets for the event are $55 per person and include unlimited steamed oysters, one serving of clam chowder, cornbread, and a nonalcoholic beverage. Thanks to support from Carolina Brewery, alcoholic beverages will be available for additional purchase on-site. Given the event’s popularity, advance ticket purchase is highly recommended, as previous years have sold out. While tickets may be available at the door, they are not guaranteed. Children 15 and under can attend for free when accompanied by a paying adult.

Since the Oyster Roast is an outdoor event, it will be held rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather. In the case of severe conditions, an alternate location may be announced.

Proceeds from the event will go toward the NCCF’s oyster education and restoration programs, helping to protect and sustain the coastal ecosystem of the Outer Banks.
